Description
The Walk for Change is an inspiring day of community, awareness, healing, and hope. It’s the largest community event in New England raising awareness of sexual violence, showing visible support for survivors, and raising critical funds to support the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center’s free services for survivors and community education and prevention programs.
Each year, the event brings together nearly 2,000 people—survivors, friends and loved ones, families with young children, students from area high schools and universities, community members, local corporations, and others (including around 100 adorable dogs!)—from Greater Boston and beyond to walk in solidarity with survivors and as part of the movement to prevent sexual violence. We come together as communities united for healing and change.
