Visiting Cambridge

What to Do

The City of Cambridge, with academic powerhouses Harvard and MIT, attracts over 2.5 million tourists each year, representing a large portion of the local economy. Visitors from around the world come to shop, eat and experience Cambridge's rich sampling of history.

Cambridge is also home to scores of museums and galleries, theaters and music venues, shopping districts, restaurants, and sports and recreational facilities, all of which add to the rich and diverse culture of the city. Tourists also come to see the architecture, with buildings designed by renowned architects from Charles Bullfinch to Le Corbusier to Frank Gehry.
