Sign Ordinance Change Vote Accepted
The Cambridge City Council voted 6-3 to accept modest changes to the sign ordinance. The Council approved the amendments per the recommendations of the Planning Board.
The amendments to the sign ordinance were developed by staff from the Community development Division and filed in May by the City Council. The Planning Board and the Council Ordinance Committees met in July and August on the amendments and the Planning Board recommended, with changes, approving the amendments on September 7. The Council passed the matter to a second reading on September 13, held a third public hearing on September 23rd and the Council approved on the 27th.
