Public Schools
Cambridge is nationally known for its many special public school programs and consistently places at or near the top of all Massachusetts communities in per capita spending per pupil in the public school system. This year Cambridge Public Schools will spend approximately $17,000/pupil.
The public school system is made up of 12 elementary schools and one major high school.
