The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce is a great vehicle through which to get involved in the Cambridge community. The CCC connects businesses and community interests via the programs of its Community Outreach Committee. The CCC also actively participates in citywide initiatives and community organizations and events.
Community Outreach Committee
Chair: Michael Delia, East End House CCC Liaison: Caryn Saitz, (617) 876-4122
The Community Outreach Committee identifies opportunities for community involvement, educates Chamber members about the importance of corporate philanthropy, and implements the philanthropic portion of the Chamber's mission. Programs and initiatives of the committee include a social audit, volunteer summit, Best Practices Handbook on business philanthropy and brochure highlighting the impact of business on community well-being that can be ordered on-line. The committee also sponsors events and programs that help businesses make a meaningful impact on the community. Currently, they are launching two new initiatives, a mentoring program and the Cambridge Challenge, a program that partners Cambridge businesses with the City's youth.
Committee Update
Community Organizations and Events The CCC has over 25 non-profit members and promotes business philanthropy as a central part of its daily activities. CCC staff and members are involved in all types of community activities. Getting involved is easy.
