Longy is pleased to welcome the Neave Trio as Alumni Artists: Faculty Ensemble-in-Residence. However, it is not so much a welcome as a homecoming: the cellist and violinist are Longy alums. Described as “a revelation,” it’s high time these talented innovators came back.
So many factors influence identity: surroundings, mentors, colleagues, personal experiences. The Trio will explore these different facets, looking at everything from Leonard Bernstein’s Harvard years to the inspiration provided by the music of Astor Piazzolla’s Argentinian streets.
