I have told them over and over and they still don’t get it
Organizations today cannot afford the trial and error of correcting performance after mistakes happen. Coach for Success develops your ability as a leader to help employees be proactive. You can prepare people to handle challenging tasks and situations and avoid the costly and time consuming frustration of reacting to problems. This course will help you learn to balance seeking with telling to hold motivating and interactive coaching discussions that support business goals.
Some Coaching Mistakes are:
- Telling more than asking
- Waiting for a problem to occur before coaching
- Not clarifying the concerns and barriers the employee experiences
- Offering support but then taking over
- Believing there is only one solution
- Failure to coach more than once
- Making assumptions
Participants in this class will learn how to conduct effective coaching conversations that will strengthen and support individual performance while enhancing the organization’s capacity to succeed. The session will include a roadmap for coaching, positive examples of how to coach and ample time to practice the skills
In this session you will:
1) Support employee development throughout the organization
2) Connect Coaching to your company's key business objectives
3) Improve ability of managers to coach direct reports
4) Provide Tools and Techniques for developing employees
5) Identify situations in which to apply the techniques of coaching for leadership and development
6) Practice coaching skills to help achieve critical business objectives while maintaining positive relationships
