Leap Year Dance Marathon to benefit Dance Complex On Friday, February 29 the Julie Ince Thompson Theatre at The Dance Complex will be filled with live music and energized dancers from early in the evening until (almost) sunrise on Saturday. Since The Dance Complex opened in 1991, it has celebrated Leap Day with a fun-filled fundraising dance party. Not a competition, this marathon is just a great way to dance the night away and support not only The Dance Complex, but Cambridge’s 15th annual celebration of DanceMonth. Live music will be provided by members of the Revolutionary Snake Ensemble, David Wildman, Martin Case’s Ma’Azin, the heavy metal Bel Montees, Rakiya, Shadwell Song, Gogofsi, Burro and more. The amazing Dr.T will be doing live improvisational video mixing into the wee hours of Saturday. No reservations are needed -- come after dinner, after the concert, after bowling or before breakfast. $20 at the door (children<12 are $5) or $50/pledge sheet. For an hourly schedule visit www.dancecomplex.org/performances.html.
