Getting Well and Staying Well Arms Around Arlington VI is a free wellness education event open to the public with a focus on providing information on integrative modalities for cancer patients and professionals. Presented by Lahey Clinic and The Center for Cancer Support & Education, it will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Whittemore Robbins House at 670R Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington, beginning with a complimentary gourmet breakfast served at 9 a.m. Cancer patients, their families, nurses, and nurse’s assistants, physicians, and social workers will be introduced to a variety of Wellness interventions: Reiki, Chinese acupuncture and herbology, GeoTran, massage related to cancer/caregiving, and expressive arts modalities. Participants will learn about the philosophy of these modalities, hear experiences from recipiants regarding their efficacy and some will have opportunities to experience these wellness interventions first hand. 2.5 CEUs will be provided for Nurses through this event.
