Finalists named for CCC Excellence in Business Awards
Eighteen exemplary CCC members have been nominated for the prestigious Excellence in Business Awards, to be presented at a gala awards dinner on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Don’t miss this exciting night as we choose from among our deserving finalists and name the "New Member of the Year," "Small Business of the Year," "Nonprofit of the Year," "The Leading Edge," "Corporate Citizen of the Year," and "Carl F. Barron Business Person of the Year."

New Member of the Year
The New Member of the Year award recognizes a business or individual new to the CCC who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the Chamber and the community. The finalists are:

Small Business of the Year
Honoring a company in the Cambridge area with fifty or fewer employees that demonstrates excellence, professionalism, leadership and originality in its industry and exhibits a tangible record of positive impact on the community, the finalists for the Small Business of the Year award are:

Nonprofit of the Year
This award recognizes a Cambridge-area nonprofit (501c3) that demonstrates superior performance, quality and consistency in the pursuit of its mission and evokes community spirit and participation. The finalists for Nonprofit of the Year are:


The Leading Edge
This award is given to a business that demonstrates leadership and innovation in the technology or biotechnology industries and is dedicated to product/process development to enhance and enrich people’s lives. Nominated for the Leading Edge are:

Corporate Citizen of the Year
In the category of Corporate Citizen of the Year, which honors a business that demonstrates significant contributions, involvement, or distinguished community service by developing community partnerships, supporting philanthropic activities and encouraging volunteerism, the finalists are:

Carl F. Barron Business Person of the Year
Named after well-known Cambridge businessman Carl F. Barron, the Business Person of the Year award honors an individual who demonstrates professional excellence and outstanding leadership in the Cambridge community by supporting and motivating colleagues and employees with enthusiasm, vision and integrity. Nominated for this distinction are:


The winner in each category will be selected prior to the awards dinner and kept confidential until presented on Thursday, May 24, 2007. Please join the CCC Board, membership and staff at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge as we announce the winners, as well as celebrate all of the finalists and the excellence, achievements and community involvement of the entire Cambridge-area business community.

Admission is $85 per person. Tables of ten are available for $800. The evening will include cocktails (cash bar) and informal networking, dinner, dessert and presentation of the awards. No walk-ins will be admitted so be sure to register by May 21. Sign up right now!
