  • The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce takes an active role on public policy issues that impact the Cambridge business community. We continually work with legislative bodies and government agencies to bolster and enhance the economic health of the City of Cambridge.

  • Services

    Government Relations services for your business includes:

    • A full-time, dedicated staff person with a strong background in public affairs;
    • E-mail updates and blog posts about important local and regional issues; and
    • Event Series designed to keep you informed about issues and policies that impact your business, and features elected officials and community leaders. The 2016 Government Affairs Programming is sponsored by Draper and Google.
  • Alliances and Associations

    The CCC maintains strategic alliances that enhance the voice of the Cambridge business community.

    • Massachusetts Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (MACCE) – working in concert with Chambers across the Commonwealth to foster a strong economic climate in Massachusetts; and
    • Business for Federal Research Funding Coalition Advocating for federal research funding that is a catalyst for our member companies and Institutions, through the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and Department of Defense.
  • Your Elected and Public Officials

    Cambridge City Manager Cambridge City Council. All nine City Councillors are elected at large, so they serve city wide.

  • Government Affairs Committee

    The Government Affairs Committee of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce works closely with members and Cambridge stakeholders to create partnerships that improve the quality of life, and foster a vibrant and stable economic climate in the city. The committee convenes monthly to discuss policy issues that impact the membership, and hosts speaker forums featuring elected and appointed officials. The Committee also coordinates the biennial Cambridge Leaders event.

    The Director of Government Affairs monitors, analyzes, and reports back to the committee and our membership on all pertinent policy initiatives and issues. Members who are interested in being more informed about public policy are encouraged to join this active committee.
