The 2010 Government Affairs program is sponsored by Genzyme.
The Government Affairs Committee works closely with Cambridge stakeholders to create partnerships that improve the quality of life and foster a vibrant and stable economic climate in the city. The committee hosts guest speakers and regular discussions with elected and appointed officials, as well as the bi-annual Cambridge Leaders event. The Director of Government Affairs monitors, analyzes, and reports back to the committee on all pertinent public policy initiatives. CCC members who are interested in legislative affairs or whose businesses are impacted by government regulations are encouraged to join this very active committee.

Recent Projects
The Government Affairs Committee is currently monitoring City actions regarding the possible regulation of nanomaterials in Cambridge, adding requirements related to energy efficiency and environmental impact to the Cambridge Zoning Ordinance, and supporting efforts to ensure continued economic development in Cambridge.
