April 19, 2006 GAC Update
The City Council did not meet this week but will meet on Monday April 24. The Council Ordinance Committee has scheduled three meetings related to the Concord-Alewife rezoning petition.
Concord-Alewife Public Hearings
As I reported two weeks ago the Planning Board, at its April 4, 2006 meeting, did not make a recommendation on the proposed zoning changes in the Concord-Alewife area. The Ordinance Committee has scheduled a public hearing on the Concord-Alewife rezoning for next Wednesday, April 26 but it does not appear that the Committee will take any action at that time because the committee has scheduled two additional meetings on issues included in the proposed zoning changes.
On Wednesday May 17 at 6:30 p.m. the Ordinance Committee will hold a public meeting to discuss FAR, traffic and transfer of development rights relative to the Concord Alewife rezoning and on Wednesday, May 31 at 5:30 p.m. the committee wild hold a public meeting to discuss environmental and infrastructure issues relative to the Concord Alewife rezoning petition.
The Planning Board indicated at the April 4 meeting that this petition will be on the agenda for the May 2 Planning Board meeting. That agenda has no yet been posted.
