Businesses operating in Cambridge must deal with a host of regulatory issues that affect their growth. The CCC assists growing members with their regulatory concerns. Licensing All licensing issues are handled by the Cambridge License Commission. These issues include liquor and food licenses, noise issues, and taxi service.

Taxation Taxation in the City of Cambridge is handled by the City of Cambridge's Office of Fiscal Affairs in conjunction with the Assessors Office, the Cambridge City Council, and the City Manager. Most notably, commercial property tax bills are administered by these offices, as are changes to the tax code, such as the recently-passed Community Preservation Act (CPA).

Zoning All zoning inquiries can be directed to the City of Cambridge Community Development Department. The Zoning Ordinance is created by the Cambridge City Council with input from the City's Planning Board.
