Tutoring Plus of Cambridge is a local nonprofit that provides free tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programs for Cambridge students and focuses on closing the opportunity gap within our community. Tutoring Plus has been a part of the Cambridge community for over 20 years and a member of the Chamber for 13. What is the history of your business?
We were founded in 1964 by a group of neighborhood mothers who partnered with a student group at MIT. What began as tutoring sessions at kitchen tables over 50 years ago has grown to a center-based model that supports over 200 students and 200 volunteers each year.
